From September 20–23, the 2024 World Manufacturing Convention was held in Hefei under the theme “Intelligent Manufacturing for a Better World”. As one of the world’s top manufacturing events, the exhibition showcased cutting-edge innovations across the global industrial sector — including Rino.ai’s latest generation of autonomous delivery vehicles.
At the “Boundless Mobility, Intelligent Future” launch ceremony on September 20, senior officials from the Hefei Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology and the Bureau of Transportation awarded Rino.ai 500 official operating licenses for autonomous vehicles — a major endorsement that will fuel Rino.ai’s continued expansion in the region.
Hefei, the first provincial capital in China to fully open its main urban area to intelligent connected vehicle testing, has become a prime environment for large-scale autonomous delivery. Since first deploying in Hefei in March 2022 — launching the city’s first autonomous delivery project that September — Rino.ai has rapidly expanded its operations across supermarkets, courier hubs, and logistics networks.
Deepening Partnerships with Logistics and Retail Leaders
At the city’s Integrated Vehicle-Road-Cloud Commercialization Signing Ceremony, Rino.ai inked two major cooperation agreements:
1. SF Express Same-City Autonomous Transfer Project
Rino.ai’s Regional Marketing Director Zhu Zhonghao and Tang Yi, Vice General Manager of SF Express Same-City Terminal Operations, signed a deep strategic partnership to deploy autonomous vehicles for last-mile courier transfers. Rino.ai vehicles will replace conventional vans for hub-to-community store runs, enabling multi-hub transfers, lowering operational costs, and increasing delivery efficiency.
2. Fresh Legend “AI Driver” Continuous Distribution Project
Fresh Legend East Division GM Chen Yinxia and Rino.ai Operations Head Liu Chong agreed to launch an AI-powered autonomous distribution system linking Fresh Legend’s satellite warehouses to multiple retail outlets. This will enable multi-temperature, high-frequency deliveries using Rino.ai autonomous trucks, creating new “autonomous driving + retail” operating models to accelerate retail sector transformation.
Expanding a Multi-Sector Delivery Ecosystem
Beyond SF Express and Fresh Legend, Rino.ai has already partnered with Hema Fresh, Yonghui, Dada, China Post, JD Logistics, ZTO Express, and other major retail and courier brands — delivering tailored logistics services across diverse scenarios.
Looking forward, Rino.ai will continue to advance autonomous driving technology R&D and application innovation, launching new models, products, and services. By combining standardized and customized solutions, the company aims to integrate more deeply into the autonomous driving industry chain, meeting the varied operational needs of cities across China.
