On May 29, Shanghai issued its first batch of Autonomous Driving Equipment Innovation Application Identification Plates, with Rino.ai among the inaugural demonstration enterprises to receive this recognition.

Legislative Support, Rino.ai Leading Innovation
With the implementation of the Pudong New Area Regulations on the Innovative Application of Driverless Intelligent Connected Vehicles and related implementation guidelines, Shanghai’s autonomous driving sector has entered a rapid growth phase.
“Our autonomous driving mileage has already exceeded 7.3 million kilometers, and we are very confident in our technology,” noted Yen Ming. “For Rino.ai, being among the first to obtain this license means not only leveraging our technical advantage, but also embracing more openness.”
Pudong’s legislative advantages and comprehensive policy framework have laid a solid foundation for the commercial application of high-level autonomous driving. With the license, Rino.ai’s unmanned vehicles are authorized to operate on approved roads and within designated areas in Pudong New Area for testing and application.
Scaling Up and Expanding Service Scenarios
In the next phase, Rino.ai will carry out demonstration testing in Pudong. Upon completion, the company plans to:
Increase its fleet size
Expand operational areas
Provide unmanned delivery and other services across logistics, express delivery, retail, and community scenarios
