Themed “Building a National Hub for Modern Commercial and Logistics Services, Advancing the New Chapter of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Coordinated Development,” this year’s Langfang Fair provided a platform for in-depth exchange and cooperation for logistics and related industries both domestically and globally.
Against this backdrop, Rino.ai—leveraging its mature technical capabilities in autonomous driving and large-scale market applications in the express logistics sector—was invited to participate and unveiled its R5 Series new model for the first time, attracting the attention of leaders, industry experts, and the media.
Leveraging the Langfang Fair to Showcase Driverless Logistics Innovations
At the exhibition, Rino.ai’s strong product capabilities and cutting-edge technology drew the attention of senior figures such as Zhong Hua, Vice President of the China Communications and Transportation Association and former Party Leadership Group member of the National Railway Administration, and Chu Feiyue, Vice President of the China Communications and Transportation Association and former Director of the Equipment Supervision and Administration Department of the National Railway Administration.
Tian Ye, Rino.ai’s Strategic Market Director, introduced the company’s latest product:
“Our newly launched Rino.ai R5 driverless cargo truck features L4-level autonomous driving capabilities, enabling fully unmanned operation across various environments—urban roads, rural roads, motor vehicle lanes, and non-motorized lanes.
We’ve installed multiple sensing devices at both high and low positions, capable of detecting vehicles and pedestrians ahead, including children as young as three. For example, a very low-mounted camera can effectively recognize even a crouching child, ensuring maximum pedestrian safety.”
Rino.ai’s robust technical strength and commitment to safety earned recognition from industry leaders, experts, and media representatives present.
Rino.ai R5 Driverless Cargo Truck: Perfectly Aligned with New Demands in Express Logistics
The newly unveiled R5 Series model is equipped with high-precision LiDAR, perception cameras, and other multi-sensor fusion systems, enabling safe and stable fully unmanned driving in diverse weather conditions such as rain, snow, and fog.
It can handle complex urban logistics scenarios, including traffic light recognition, narrow road navigation, steep underground garage ramps, road construction areas, and peak-hour traffic.
With a cargo compartment measuring 3.4 meters in length, 1.2 meters in width, and nearly 1.4 meters in height, the R5 offers 5.5 cubic meters of cargo space and a payload capacity of 800 kg. It primarily operates between urban parcel hubs and express delivery outlets, replacing the traditional manual parcel transfer process and saving both labor and management costs. It is an ideal fit for hub-to-outlet connection needs in the logistics sector.
Policy-Driven Vehicle Renewal: Accelerating Large-Scale Deployment of Rino.ai Driverless Vehicles
Recently, thirteen ministries—including the Ministry of Transport, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology—jointly issued the Action Plan for Large-Scale Equipment Renewal in Transportation, which includes initiatives to update postal and express terminal delivery vehicles.
Aligned with pilot programs for comprehensive electrification of public service vehicles in urban areas, the plan encourages enterprises to adopt new energy driverless delivery vehicles on a large scale in eligible regions, improving mail and parcel transfer efficiency, promoting clean, low-carbon, and efficient transport energy systems, and steadily advancing green transformation in the industry.
As logistics demand continues to grow both in China and worldwide, driverless cargo trucks—with their efficiency, flexibility, and low cost—are set to play an increasingly important role in the future logistics network.
Backed by market demand and policy support, Rino.ai will continue to deepen its R&D and application innovation in autonomous driving, launching new models, products, and services. Through a multi-strategy approach—combining technological investment with application innovation—the company aims to integrate deeply into the autonomous driving industry chain, delivering standardized + customized solutions to meet diverse logistics delivery scenarios.
