On March 16, Rino.ai, in collaboration with SF Express Same-City, officially launched a pilot autonomous vehicle freight service in Weifang, Shandong. Dozens of autonomous vehicles have been deployed to serve both individual consumers and small-to-medium businesses, using a “self-loading + driverless transport” model to provide fully automated intra-city small-batch cargo delivery.
Customers can request a vehicle through an online platform, enabling on-demand, fully autonomous transport. Each Rino.ai vehicle features a 5.5 m³ cargo volume and a 1-ton payload capacity, offering a new solution for daily small-batch heavy cargo delivery, effectively improving freight efficiency and service experience. Currently, first-time users can enjoy a special promotion of just 0.01 RMB per order. This service will gradually expand to additional cities in the near future.

In today’s world of instant delivery, most users follow the simple rule: small parcels go with couriers, large items go with trucks. However, there is often a gap for medium-weight cargo, which struggles to find suitable transport.
The Rino.ai × SF Express Same-City autonomous freight service directly addresses these scenarios. The vehicles can safely carry fresh produce, hardware, small furniture, bicycles, and more, efficiently solving the “medium-weight, small-batch” delivery challenges—such as tens of kilograms of equipment or full cases of beverages for individual users.
The service also caters to small-to-medium business needs, including supermarket restocking, restaurant supplies, sample deliveries, and small-scale wholesale shipments, effectively bridging the gap between couriers for light items and trucks for heavy cargo, and filling a previously underserved segment in the market.
Users can request a vehicle with a single click via the SF Express Same-City mini-program, with idle vehicles responding in just one second. Throughout the delivery, customers can real-time track the vehicle’s location and status.
Upon arrival, users simply scan a QR code to load or unload cargo, making the entire process fully self-service and under their control. Exclusive vehicle-door permissions provide dual protection for cargo safety and privacy, making SF Express Same-City’s heavy-item delivery service more flexible, secure, and reliable.

The deployment of Rino.ai autonomous vehicles in Weifang to support the SF Express Same-City C-end freight pilot represents a significant step in extending autonomous delivery technology from B-end hub-and-spoke scenarios to C-end on-demand usage. It also marks another milestone in the commercialization of autonomous driving technology.
As a company deeply focused on L4-level autonomous driving, Rino.ai has established a mature technology system and product portfolio. The company has previously partnered with SF Express Same-City to operate autonomous vehicles in over 100 cities nationwide, handling intra-city short-distance transfers and hub-to-hub deliveries. This has effectively relieved human labor, enhanced fulfillment efficiency, and become a key component of SF Express Same-City’s multi-modal fleet ecosystem, which combines two-wheelers, four-wheelers, and autonomous delivery vehicles.

Through the Weifang pilot in partnership with SF Express Same-City, Rino.ai has fully validated the commercial value and operational feasibility of autonomous vehicles in C-end, same-city heavy cargo delivery scenarios, gaining valuable practical experience for future technology iterations and scenario expansion.
Looking ahead, with the gradual opening of road access across cities and continued advancement of autonomous driving technology, Rino.ai will further deepen collaboration with SF Express Same-City, continuously optimizing operational stability and safety in complex urban environments, and accelerating the large-scale production and market adoption of autonomous vehicles.
At the same time, Rino.ai will further focus on high-value scenarios such as same-city freight, on-demand delivery, and campus or industrial park transfers. Leveraging L4-level autonomous driving technology, the company aims to build multi-scenario, end-to-end autonomous logistics solutions, expanding service coverage, strengthening partner fleet systems, and promoting the intelligent, driverless upgrade of urban logistics networks, ensuring that autonomous delivery technology better serves both daily life and the real economy.
