Kicking off 2026, the autonomous delivery sector has seen a series of major product launches. Following the January 16 debut of the industry’s first fully vehicle-grade autonomous delivery vehicle, the Rino.ai RX, Rino.ai’s high-capacity autonomous delivery vehicle, the R24, has now begun test operations in a logistics park in Shenzhen.
As one of the industry’s first vehicles to exceed a cargo volume of 24m³, the R24 represents another milestone in autonomous driving technology for urban logistics. Its debut signals the arrival of a new phase in the industry, centered on maximizing overall delivery capacity efficiency.
Currently, most autonomous delivery vehicles feature cargo volumes between 5–12m³. The R24, however, elevates payload capacity to the level of mainstream small- and medium-sized vans. This enables autonomous vehicles to efficiently handle larger-scale logistics scenarios, such as “warehouse-to-store” and short-haul distribution routes. The increase in cargo volume is not merely incremental—it signifies that autonomous fleets are beginning to possess the capability to scale traditional delivery capacity and optimize logistics cost structures.
